QED is exempt from California Governor Newsom’s Executive Order N-33-20 and may continue full business operations as an Essential Business under the Order.

We want to let our customers, suppliers, and vendors know that as an Essential Business QED is exempt from Governor Newsom’s Executive Order N-33-20 and may continue full business operations. The exemption is founded upon QED’s function as a defense contractor for the United States, as QED supports the defense and national security-related operations of the U.S. Government or a contractor to the U.S. government.

Therefore, given QED’s status as an Essential Business, we are continuing full business operations. Although we currently do not have anyone symptomatic or who tested positive for COVID-19, we are following CDC guidelines, and we have opted to have those that can work from home do so, in order to reduce the risk to all employees. All other manufacturing and support staff is in full attendance.

With respect to the supplies and services QED needs from its suppliers, vendors, and contractors in order to perform its essential business functions, those supplies and services are Essential Services and are exempt from Executive Order N-33-20 as well.

QED is doing its part to help ensure and remain focused on the safety and health of our employees, customers, suppliers, and community while adhering to our business responsibilities and commitments.
